I am a licensed professional counselor. In 2002, I graduated with a Master of Science in School Counseling, and a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling.
As a former elementary school teacher, special education teacher, and school counselor, I have worked with children for more than 20 years. I have broad experience in several counseling techniques. Some of these techniques include cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems, play therapy, and behavioral therapy. I have experience helping children who are dealing with anxiety, self-esteem issues, anger management, grief, impulsiveness, social skills deficits, and other issues.
With a Christian perspective, I believe in the resiliency of children to be able to handle difficult situations, setbacks, and adversities. With proper guidance, children can overcome their "mountains" and move forward to a happier and more productive future.
I meet with clients weekly. If I can be of service to you, I would count it an honor.
